Michael Cram played Constable Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth in Flashpoint.

Acting Career[]

Michael Cram has been an active actor since his first role in 1991 where he appeared in an episode of Rin Tin Tin: K9 Cop. He has more than 70 credits to his name and continues to add to his resume. While many of his TV appearances have been single episode roles, since appearing in 52 episodes of Flashpoint, Cram has been cast in longer character arcs in series such as Rookie Blue and The Birch.

Michael was cast along with David Paetkau by Amy Jo Johnson in her first full length directing project, 2017's The Space Between. This wasn't the first time Johnson and Cram had worked together since Flashpoint, they reunited as well in 2014 in one episode of the TV series Covert Affairs.

Personal Life[]

Michael Cram grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and studied Economics at Carleton University. From there he went on to study in Toronto at The Centre For Actor Study where he discovered his love for acting. Cram has lived in Toronto and Vancouver and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife.

Michael's family was creative but kept that aspect of their lives as hobbies. They were "trilled", however, when they found out he wanted to use his creativity to make a living.

  • Cram has been a part of a few bands in his time, including his first one called Cold House when he was in his teens.
  • His university band, Amsterdam, got some radio play in Ottawa but didn't last because his "lack of commitment".
  • Played a gig with Amy Jo Johnson on November 6, 2011 at the Free Times Café in Toronto.
  • Was cited by his Flashpoint co-stars as the person that had the "hardest time with anything physical on the show" during the CTV Flashpoint 'Special Retrospective' episode.
